After my children were in preschool, I looked high and low for a decent part time job, so I could help with the bills, and still be home with them in the afternoons. The part time jobs I found were either unsatisfying to me or just the wrong hours. So I began to look for something I could do as a home-based business, with more freedom to set my own hours.

I feel so lucky to have found a senior care business opportunity that met all of my needs. I create my own schedule, as well as the schedule of my employees (to whom I offer quality part-time opportunities). I make a good income to help our finances. What's more, by working at home, my children see how I organize my business and my daily schedule and how I value a solid work ethic. And they also see how every afternoon I put my work aside to be with them, valuing quality family time.

I've always been a handyman. When I was a kid, my dad taught me how to fix just about anything.
