If there's one must-know thing about running a successful network marketing business it's how to plan a home party. It's essential for some businesses - your direct sales company won't sell anything unless you have people over and get them excited about the product.

Parties are also vital for networking and introducing potential clients to your network marketing business. They're one of the most effective tools for getting people on your team. To make it a hit, you have to be a great party host. If you have anxiety about selling or presenting to a crowd, here are a few tips to get you going.

First, get organized. Set a date and invite your guests, making sure they know when and where the party is. This should be done a few weeks ahead of the date so guests have time to prepare to attend.

Next, begin work on your party plan. Start organizing needed materials and write an outline of what you're going to present and when. Think of common questions that may be asked and plan your responses to them. Write down key points that you need to make. If the party is in your home, decide on what snacks you'll serve your guests. This is an easy thing to get out of the way, so go ahead and do your shopping a few days ahead. That way you won't be running around the day of your party fretting over small details.

Also a few days ahead, finalize your party plan. By now, you should know exactly what you're going to present and how you'll show it. Practice on a friend and ask for criticism. The more you rehearse, the better you'll sound the day of the party.

On the day before your party, make sure everyone in your household has a plan to be elsewhere. Children and spouses should be in another room or out of the house completely. Don't forget your pets - you don't want your dog stealing the hors de overs. Put them in a separate room or have a neighbor keep them for a few hours.

Equally as important is making sure your home, or the home your hosting in, is clean. Messiness detracts from you and your presentation. Run the vacuum, , do the laundry, stuff everything in a closet - just make sure your space is tidy so the attention can be on you! While you're cleaning, gather your materials. Make sure you know where everything is and stash it in a safe spot so it's all ready when it's time to set up.

On the day of your party, set the stage. Allow yourself plenty of time to set up your home-based business materials. Make sure they can be seen by your clients. Remember to put snacks and drinks in an easily accessible spot.

Just before your guests are due to arrive, make sure you're relaxed. Take a few moments alone to practice what you're going to say. Give yourself a little pep-rally - review the exciting things about your business and why you decided to start it. It'll help reinforce your confidence and help you sell your mlm business or products.

During your party, make sure you greet your guests graciously, making them feel welcome in your home. Deliver your pitches with confidence, keeping them short and simple - just the way you rehearsed.

When you're done, circulate. Be accessible to your guests, so you can answer any questions they may have and share your personal experience with your home based business and your products. Don't just talk to your neighbor or the client you've done business with before. Reach out to new faces and make them feel comfortable.

Finally, say thank you. Your guests took time out from their personal life to attend your party. Nothing goes further than letting them know you appreciate them.
