Choosing a Network Marketing CompanyResource Center :: Choosing a Network Marketing CompanyChoosing a Network Marketing CompanyIf you think Network Marketing is just a pipe dream, think again. Never has there been a better time to get into network marketing. However, not all multi-level marketing companies are alike. There are some things to look for and questions to ask when researching multi-level marketing companies. After all, you want to find a company that you can build big and retire. You can do it if you find the right match. Just do your research. First, ask yourself if the home business opportunity will it be profitable for a part-timer? This is important because 95 percent of all multi-level marketing reps are part-timers. If it's not profitable for them, how will you have retention in your organization? Check out what it costs to run the home based business opportunity. Consider whether the company's overhead affects your profit. For example, if a company's overhead is responsible for jacking up the cost of the products it will hurt you in the long run. Look at how the company is set-up. If, for instance, they have 200 people answering phones consider that those 200 have to be paid salary and benefits, they need phones and computers, they have to have a building to work in, it has to be paid for, heated, cooled - the list goes on. You better believe those costs will be passed on in the products you sell. Also check to see if the company has a user-friendly retail website. Things to look for are whether products can be ordered easily and if the checkout is secure. If the site is too confusing, customers won't use it and you'll lose sales. Another question to answer is how many reps do you have to sign up in order to earn $10,000 a month. In some companies, it can take as many as 3,500. Ouch! Finally, some basics. Make sure the business makes products you can stand by. Actually try a product or two during your research. If you don't think it works or don't believe in it, you probably can't sell it. Your enthusiasm for the business just won't be there. Most importantly, read the company's policies and procedures. Sometimes they aren't readily available, so you may have to ask for them. Never join a company without doing this - it's your contract with the company. For instance, some contracts have key words like 'ongoing' or 'continued performance' which basically mean you can never retire. That would put a damper on your 'build it big and retire plan' wouldn't it? A good home based business opportunity isn't just going to fall into your lap. You'll have to go looking for it. But follow these guidelines and work hard at your business everyday, and success will find you. |
